Vascular Surgery Integrated Resident, Joel Ramirez, MD (PGY-3), was recently selected as a Fellow for this year's Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Physician-Scientist Fellowship Program.
The CZ Biohub Physician-Scientist Fellowship will support our work investigating the role of circulating and vascular tissue-specific microRNAs in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms. This translational study will yield new insight into the mechanisms involved in the development and progression of abdominal aortic aneurysms with the potential to identify new diagnostic and therapeutic pathways.
